CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PROGRAMS

Children development programmes have been proposed and implemented focussing on the following basic objectives:

• To create social awareness among the children and to equip and enable them to express their social commitment and concern.
• To inculcate value oriented life style which is the need and demand of present generation.
• To promote and expose their talents and help themselves acquire better positions in their career through quality education.

               Holiday camps, leadership training, awareness seminars for parents, regular sponsorship, special educational assistance, career orientation classes etc, are the major activities under the programme. The programme has evoked very good response both from the children as well as from their parents.

               Recently, KIDS has facilitated the formation of 345 Children SHGs named as “Poomottukal” (meaning ‘Flower Bud) in different villages. These SHGs have been engaged in regular savings system to promote savings habit among children. The children are felt really enthusiastic to organize and take part in different programmes that add to their character, academics and career.
