In essence the Society is endeavoring for the total development of the people in all levels pronouncing their oneness with the nature and all the fellow beings in adherence with the principles of equity, empowerment, ecology and economy. In fulfillment of the above the Society has launched a number of programmes for the past years.The following are the major programmes of KIDS in this regard:

• Thrift & credit promotion
• Welfare schemes
• Relief and rehabilitation
• Childrens’development
• Health and sanitation
• Educational support to the children and Youth.
• Fishermen development.
• Environment regeneration .
• Revival of Traditional trades and crafts..

The society has coordinators for each subject area that contributes to the overall development of the community. Almost all the programmes are implemented in the grass root level with the help of the Self Help Groups and other Community Based Organizations ensuring the participation of the people to the greatest extend. These coordinators organize and implement the programmes in the communities which are regularly monitored systematically on internal and external basis. Almost all the programmes are implemented with the support of the different stakeholders involved in such programmes. Appropriate collaborations and networking is developed for the success of any programme that benefits the community in one way or another.
